Hey everyone! Thanks for joining the forum and madden league. I hope you all enjoy it.

Just a little info prior to league starting. Im looking at the start date for the league being August 23. I picked that date for a few reasons. Its on a weekend so if anyone needs help with anything ill be available to help. Hopefully we can fill the league up by that date as well. Im hoping that EA will come out with a roster update by then that will include Favre with Jets, Taylor with Redskins and Shockey with Saints as well as a few other changes.

I just want to let everyone know about a few things that I hope for and expect from everyone. I need everyone to be in contact with me so that I know whats going on. If youre going on vacation then please let me know so that I dont replace you from league ( I wont know where you are and Ill think that youre just not showing up and playing games).
Another part of that is that I encourage everyone to visit the site everyday (including the chat box even if its only for 10 mins). That way I can see who is active and you can make sure you have all information about whats going on at all times.

I need to talk with everyone. If something happens and we have to do a draft (for theams) for the league a few seasons down the road or if a lot of people are requesting it then I will form that draft order by forum activity (forum activity includes posting on forum, showing up often and playing games. So I will look at how many posts each person has.

Everyone needs to try and check in with me by this weekend so that I know whos around and whos not. I dont want a good team taken by someone who isnt showing up. So if youre not around and never come on then I will most likely replace you in the league.

I want to build a community through this site and the only way to do that is by having active members who participate in the chat box and on the NFL talk and other sections of the forum.

I cannot stress enough the importance of the chat box to the league. I run a fifa league and soccer discussion site as well just like this. We are a very succesful league and the main reason is because we have active members who do post on the forum and join the chat box daily or every other day.

Please everyone help me make this the best Madden league around! Lets be active and make this league great.

Also feel free to help recruity players to the league so that we can fill it up by our start date.
